Star Photography is owned by Elitsa, with Ian taking on the role of studio manager and principal photographer.

Elitsa is a qualified economist by trade but decided to follow other passions after Ruby was born.

Ian spent 26 years in the travel industry, with fifteen years in general and people management. This is perhaps why he is so good with people, an essential attribute for any photographer.

Ian's interest in photography started at the age of 7 when he was given a 'Box Brownie' camera to 'play' with. It was soon apparent that he was doing more than just playing with it. After saving up his pocket money, he bought his first SLR at the age of 11. Things continued to progress and he photographed his first wedding when he was just 14.

His love of photography took a few small breaks but he then decided to take it up professionally in 2007, at that time based in Wiltshire. In April 2012 the company relocated to Lincoln, somewhere Ian very much feels at home as it is the area he was brought up in.

Ian is passionate about photography. He can be outspoken about it at times, when his passion becomes all the more obvious. He knows the emotional power a perfectly crafted image holds for those associated by it and wants to be able to let everyone experience that feeling.
